LEARN TO PLAY BRAZILIAN CARNIVAL DRUMMING IN OUR NEW 15 WEEK COURSE

This is the 7th year that we have been running these highly popular and succesful drumming classes in Hitchin and each year it just gets better and better.

The course will introduce you to the techniques of playing Brazilian carnival music on all of the relevant traditional instruments which we source directly from Rio de Janeiro.

Each week will build from the previous so participants get a great understanding of the music.

There will also be time spent on the individual instruments where we will look at technique and how that instrument fits in the ensemble.

We will work with traditional and modern carnival songs to give the participant a greater contextual understanding of the music.

The course is open to all levels and is a great way to learn music in a fun atmosphere, meet like minded people and make new friends.

At the end of the course there will be a performance where participants will get to show what they have learnt to their adoring public.

There will then be a chance for some people to progress to the band.

If you didn't get a chance to come down for the free session early this summer, but would like to give it a try before you commit to the course, give us a call and come down to the Ravidassia next Tuesday 8th Sept 1800.

You can take the first class for a one-off fee of £5.
When you decide you love samba and want more, we will take £5 off your first month's class fee
